I Spent Years Helping Strangers Get Married. Then It Was Finally My Turn.

For years, I made a living standing beside strangers on one of the biggest days of their lives.
As the founder of Bridesmaid for Hire, I helped brides walk down the aisle, survive wedding-day disasters, calm their nerves, and make it to “I do.”

Meanwhile, my own love life was a completely different story.

I went on the dates. I had the heartbreaks. I watched friends fall in love, get engaged, and move into the next chapter of their lives while wondering when—or if—it would happen for me.

Then I met Adam.

Finally the Bride is the story of what happened next—and everything I learned about love, relationships, confidence, and myself along the way.

Ever Feel Like Everyone Else Is Ahead of You?

Your friends are getting engaged.

They're getting married.

They're buying houses, having babies, and checking off the milestones you're still waiting for.

And even when you're genuinely happy for them, there's that little voice asking:
When is it going to be my turn?

I've been there.

Finally the Bride isn't just a story about finding someone to marry. It's about what happens while you're waiting for the life you thought you'd have by now—and what you discover when you stop measuring your timeline against everyone else's.

This Book Is for You If...

You've watched everyone around you hit milestones before you.

You've wondered whether you're falling behind in life.

You've survived more bad dates than you'd care to admit.

You've had to rebuild your confidence after heartbreak.

You've compared your relationship timeline to everyone else's.

You're figuring out what you actually want from love.

You like memoirs that are funny, messy, vulnerable, and honest.

You need a reminder that your life doesn't have to happen on anyone else's schedule.

From Professional Bridesmaid to Finally the Bride

I'm Jen Glantz, and for years I was known for one pretty unusual thing:

I'm a professional bridesmaid.

I started Bridesmaid for Hire after being a bridesmaid so many times that friends joked I had become a professional at it. I put an ad on Craigslist offering my services to strangers—and somehow, that crazy idea became my career.

I spent years helping people get married. I stood beside strangers at their weddings, handled behind-the-scenes disasters, gave speeches, calmed brides down, and learned more about relationships than I ever expected to know.

But while I was helping other people get their happily-ever-after, I was still trying to figure out mine.

I dated. I got rejected. I rejected people. I questioned myself. I wondered whether I was too picky, too late, or simply doing the whole thing wrong.

Eventually, I met Adam.

And suddenly, the professional bridesmaid had to figure out what it meant to become the bride.

Finally the Bride tells that story—but it's also about something much bigger.

It's about what happens when the life you desperately wanted finally arrives and looks nothing like you expected.

It's about love, friendship, confidence, marriage, growing up, and learning that being "behind" might just mean you're on your own timeline.
